Retail Team Member: Full-Time & Part-Time

Bases Loaded-The Baseball & Softball Superstore in Rancho Cordova, CA is growing and we are looking to hire Full-Time & Part-Time Retail Team Members to join our team. Are you ready to join our team that rewards its employees for their success in making Bases Loaded the premier baseball and softball sporting goods retailer in the US? Then Bases Loaded is ready for you to try out for our team. These positions are hourly positions.  Bases Loaded is flexible to work around other commitments! We are looking for long-term permanent employees, not seasonal or temporary help. No Recruiters!!! Starting hourly wage depends on experience and is $18 - $22 an hour. 

Requirements:

  • A passion for baseball, softball, and/or sporting goods – preferred.
  • A solid understanding of baseball or softball equipment - preferred.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience - a plus.
  • Friendly, Outgoing, and Enthusiastic Personality.
  • Strong work ethic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a positive, customer-centric attitude by listening, understanding and responding to customer needs while being committed to exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all team members and customers.
  • Shows up to shifts with appropriate attire and appearance according to company policies.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks throughout the day and/or week while maintaining a high level of accuracy and speed.
  • Read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area, and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, kneeling and climbing a ladder; ability to lift and/or move up to 50 (fifty)pounds at any given time.
  • Stand for extended periods of time, primarily the entire shift (6 to 8 hours).
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates including the ability to work as needed on weekends, closing shifts, and some holidays.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly outgoing manner and assist them with product advice, sizing and answer questions about specific baseball equipment and/or apparel.
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Offer guidance on equipment sizing, maintenance, and usage.
  • Answering customer questions in person and over the phone.
  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend complementary products.
  • Help maintain a well-organized and visually appealing sales floor.
  • Monitor and restock merchandise to ensure product availability.
  • Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely and accurately.
  • Address customer concerns, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to resolve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Answering phones and complete outbound calls to customers in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Pick orders accurately and efficiently for online sales.
  • Restock merchandise on the sales floor based on demand and inventory levels.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
  • Receive incoming shipments of baseball equipment and supplies.
  • Inspect deliveries for accuracy, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate product placement.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols in the warehouse while also using proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injuries.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise.

 Shipping Team Member: Full-Time & Part-Time

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ship to complete Monday through Friday.
  • Prepare merchandise for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, verifying inventory and quantity for accuracy and labeling.
  • Shipping - Generate shipping labels and documentation for outbound shipments (creating labels using various shipping software).
  • Packaging and weighing orders for shipments by ensuring product protection and best cost savings for Bases Loaded.
  • Complete all returns daily including refunds, checking product back into inventory, returns in point-of-sale, proper retagging of inventory, and correspondence with customers.
  • UPC & label verification.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner to hit our commitments to our customers.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Great attention to detail to limit errors in shipping, receiving and processing returns.
